Randstad is on the lookout for an accomplished Project Manager to be responsible for the management of timetable modelling and analysis projects within Business Readiness Interface, Planning & Delivery.

Key deliverables;

  • Defining project budgets from inception, design, delivery and through to handover
  • Managing client and consultant relationships
  • Driving project teams and where required subcontractors to ensure project outcomes are achieved
  • Report on progress of project and schedule of works to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Bringing projects in on time, to quality and under budget

Responsibilities include;

  • Managing complex, multi stakeholder project initiatives which have the ability to positively impact customer experience which is a key focus for multiple government agencies under the Transport cluster
  • Implementation of new initiatives within a reform environment where staff may not engage and there may be conflicting priorities
  • Liaising with and influencing Deputy Executive Directors and their respective managers/ teams on the support for the development and delivery of key operations construction and facilities initiatives
  • Engaging and co-operating with IT stakeholders to ensure that the project deliverables can be supported when the project is complete

To succeed in this role you will have;

  • Solid background in Data Modelling
  • Experience in managing projects preferably up to $5m
  • Previous experience driving customer-focused analysis and modelling projects will be an important enabler
  • Ability to lead and performance manage a project team to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Strong proven ability to establish relationships, influence and work in partnership with stakeholders at senior level.
  • High level of communication skills and presentation skills in relation to detailed reports
  • High level conceptual and analytical skills, and the capacity to develop solutions for a range of complex issues
  • Knowledge of issues currently impacting on Sydney Trains’ ability to deliver rail services
  • Ability to plan and pursue challenging goals whilst successfully managing competing priorities
  • Highly developed oral and written skills, particularly relevant to consultation and presentations at a senior level.
  • Tertiary Qualifications an advantage, but not essential.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodology
  • Software Vendor management
