About the Role

The Project Manager/Engineer will provide efficient and effective project management to the overall project scheme. This role is based in Western Sydney, working on a major infrastructure project.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and effective project management including managing day to day section to ensure; time, cost, quality and scope requirements are met within the overall project scheme
  • Preparation and continual monitoring of the section's financial aspects including; forecasting and accruals
  • Continually review the projects risks, issues and schedule including developing potential areas using flexible and workable solutions
  • Lead and mentor the section team and drive the section to provide optimum decisions through continuous support
  • Review and implement strategies, procedures, guidelines and practices to ensure a high level of WH&S, environmental management, stakeholder consultation and quality is achieved.


  • A relevant four year engineering (Civil/Structural or related) degree
  • Demonstrated ability as an effective manager, with well-developed skills in the management of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in tendering procedures and overseeing professional and construction contractors
  • Experience in managing the development and construction of road and bridge projects including the implementation of community involvement and environmental management strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the technical aspects of materials, equipment and techniques used in road and bridge construction
  • High level communication skills
  • Proven high level project management skills, strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
