This state gov organisation is looking to engage a Project Officer on a initial 6 month contract. The Project Officer will be responsible for assisting users in the effective use of project management systems by providing training and advice to the user community.
Based in Parramatta, the Project Officer will maintain the project management systems by carrying out continuous improvements and managing change requests. They will achieve this by collating data and user feedback to determine user needs.
They will ensure the project management system is efficiently utilised by developing and documenting operational processes, procedures and guides for the support function. They will manage and coordinate a network of local project management system subject matter experts by collecting best practice examples to ensure the system is designed efficiently.
They will provide senior management with a review of project management systems by collecting date and trends on system performance and auditing usage. They will maintain training documentation and guidelines for the system.
The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification or alternatively will have experience in quality management. They will have experience in the use of project and contract management systems in a civil engineering environment and experience in the use of a computerised / integrated management system.
They will have excellent analytic and problem solving skills and be a good communicator. Knowledge of auditing management systems within ISO 9001 framework is also required.
