The Role

Work within a state government department where you will be responsible for the delivery of projects in a client focused environment. You will work within a fantastic small team where your responsibilities as a Project Officer will include:

  • Preparing a range of documents such as status updates, reports, discussion papers, submissions, briefings and correspondence
  • Reviewing briefs
  • Planning and prioritising your work load
  • Co-ordinating and delivering high quality and timely analysis and advice to stakeholders, senior executive and the Ministers
  • Developing and implement systems and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Monitoring work volumes, reporting new or emerging issues or trends and recommend changes and strategies

The candidate

You will come from a similar background and be able to work autonomously within a small team. You will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience reviewing briefs
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good reading and writing skills
  • Ministerial experience preferred but not essential
