A local council has engaged our services in the permanent recruitment of a Property Coordinator.

The Team

As Property Manager, you will be part of the Property and Commercial team. This team is a diverse unit within the Council that manage a dynamic property portfolio. This would include large tourist destinations, commercial, residential and community properties. This team is also responsible for land acquisition and disposal/sale of land and administration of Council’s statutory property responsibilities including road closures, easements, encroachments and caveats.

The Role

The Property Manager motivates, develops, and supports a property team. The team is made up of 5 motivated team members specialising in leasing/licensing of land and buildings, management of commercial operations and the development of commercial opportunities for Council. The Property Manager will oversee the day to day operations of their property team to ensure a responsive and trusted service.

This is a senior role with a high level of autonomy that can have a substantial impact on Council budgets, operations and the community. Within this position the Property Manager will have the ability to implement policies and procedures to enhance the effective and efficient management of Council’s property portfolio. The Property Manager will have the opportunity to manage a team that is driven and focused on securing the best outcome for council and the community.

The Person

It is essential that you have a minimum of five years demonstrated experience within the property industry particularly in commercial land dealings, contract preparation and interpretation. A key component of this position is managing a team delivering leasing, licencing and land transactions. It is vital that you have demonstrated experience leading and motivating a team.
