Our client wants to engage a Studio Publication Manager for an initial 3 month contract. This is a newly created role and will work on setting up standards and processes for marketing communications collateral, publishers (internal and external) and frameworks for engaging with business units.

Work as a studio manager for equipping the client to be ready for its new publications content and design procedure.


  • Introducing systems for adapting to a new publications process and launching new branding and design.
  • Chairing regular publication and branding meetings with the Unit Manager, content team, web team, and public affairs and media team.
  • Setting up a project log system that branches use to register their jobs or to request design and content assistance.
  • Building, improving and maintaining studio processes (equipment, software, project logging, quality control and workflows) to ensure that the client keeps up with its publication priorities.
  • Engaging freelancers and temps when required for specialist skills or overflow.
  • Allocating jobs to others in the content team, including checking the project log system, opening job numbers, and running financial process.
  • Managing traffic and allocating resources for projects based on skillset.
  • Briefing Unit Manager on project deliverables, timelines, and budgets
  • Compiling schedules and updating daily/weekly run sheets to ensure that timeframes are realistic and deadlines can be met
  • Maintaining order across the design and content team and keeping the Unit Manager aware of resource pressures and offering solutions in advance of issues which may arise from conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Developing and fostering strong working relationships with multiple internal stakeholders from various branches to ensure projects are completed on time and as per brief
  • *As a practitioner of content and design you will be responsible for:
  • Assisting production of corporate communications and marketing collateral for delivery across multiple channels, including information, promotions, publications, signage and displays, videos, and digital and online materials.
  • Coordinating customer-centric communication and content design, development and review, to deliver quality content for stakeholders and partners
  • Integrating branding, standards, guidelines, processes and templates for the effective, efficient and consistent design of communications and marketing collateral, to reflect the client's guidelines, standards and other government requirements, including brand requirements and multi-channel consistency.
  • Providing advice and assistance on design, copyright, digital asset management and brand guidelines to stakeholders and partners.
  • Reviewing draft designs for digital and print materials, to ensure compliance with relevant policies and presentation standards.
