The major challenge for the position of Records Officer is to successfully complete day-to day Records activities whilst dealing with conflicting priorities within tight timeframes.

Your new role

As a records officer you will be acting as the backbone for this local government organisation in a fill in position fulltime for six weeks- urgent start . Your daily activities includes supporting the records management team and meeting regulatory requirements for record keeping, storage and records management. Your presence will contribute to the facilitation of an effective Records Management System, which ensures that Council’s records are secure, appropriately maintained and readily accessible To assist with providing Records Management services and advice to all levels of the organisation

What you'll need to succeed-

  • Previous experience and demonstrated sound knowledge working in a records management environment.
  • Computer literacy and previous experience using an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Manual handling including retrieving files from shelving, boxing and lifting of these boxes.
