In this exciting opportunity you will report to a senior leader and will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and monitoring policies, procedures and tools to comply with legislative and internal requirements.
  • Contribute to and drive the continuous improvement of the systems and procedures for claims support and management.
  • Provide specialist advice relating to worker's compensation insurance.
  • Engage stakeholders and business partners in the management of individual matters
  • Effectively and efficiently manage work and non-work related claims and the administration of insurance licensing
  • Manage claims and cases of work and non-work related injury and illness in a fashion consistent with legislation and internal protocols.
  • Developing strategies to manage liabilities and improve performance
  • Ensure compliance in terms of systems and procedures
  • Liaise with medical professionals as required in relation to claims
  • Other duties as the role dictates

You must have a good understanding of injury management terminology, previous experience in case management, return to work plans and the ability to work with staff at all levels. As you will need to hit the ground running, a thorough understanding of all workers compensation legislation is essential.
