Randstad is currently looking for a Revenue Support Officer within a large Government department based on the city fringe. The contract is available for immediate start, and will be for 2 months with possible extension for the right candidate.

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and controls for the Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS)
  • Maintain knowledge of common office software programs, clinical information systems
  • Ability to achieve deadlines, establish work priorities, and organising of daily functions pertinent to the role in an autonomous environment while being able to work as part of a team in order to manage workloads and issues in a rapidly changing environments
  • Develop, implement and maintain an up-to-date work procedure manual for this position and assist with identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Collect, complete and record private Patient Election Forms, Acute Care Certificates, National Private Patient Hospital Claim Forms and any other documentation that will facilitate payment as required
  • Assist with the filing, scanning and posting of accounts and relevant documentation as required.
  • Comply with the provisions of the Financial Accountability Act 2009
  • Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as work place health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of, billing processes, legislative frameworks, finance related policies, procedures and practices and funding within a hospital environment.
  • High level oral and written communication with effective interpersonal skills
  • Skills and abilities applicable to audits and account generation including the use of computerised accounting systems, patient information systems, morbidity reporting systems, Microsoft package applications and how to apply these skills in the input, extraction and preparation of data for invoicing and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently, meet deadlines, prioritise workflows, work autonomously or in a team environment.
