Prior to speaking in person, I can attest to the prevailing positivity and professionalism within this company and working environment, having met the prison's General Manager, Offender Services and Rehabilitation Manager, and Recruitment Manager, as well as the acting Risk and Compliance Manager. The expectations and commitment to ongoing business improvement are high, but so too are the level of support and camaraderie amongst the prison's staff at all levels.
As well as having demonstrable experience of risk-based auditing in a busy and challenging work environment - ideally within correctional services, although this isn't mandatory for applicants - it is essential that the successful candidate possesses fluent and articulate levels of verbal, written and IT communication skills. These skills will be vital in establishing strong and lasting relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
To ensure that risk and compliance standards and regulations are met and consistently improved upon across all business units of the prison, it is essential that the successful candidate possesses requisitely high levels of self-motivation, organisation and initiative. Detailed evidence of demonstrating these attributes, as well as of experience of ISO 9001 / AS/NZ 4801, will be required.
I have no heistation in recommending this role to a suitably skilled, experienced and ambitious risk and compliance professional and look forward to hearing from you soon.
The deadline for applications is 5pm Friday 17th July.
