About the role

Our client is a market leading Mutual Bank that prides themselves on their ability to retain existing clients as well attract new business every day. They are looking for Sales Team Lending Assistants to join and support their sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for for daily operational activities of the lending process to support the Sales Consultants. This includes loading and updating loan applications and booking appointments.

Key Responsibilites

  • Loading and updating applications in ORIGEN.
  • Conducting title searches (when available).
  • Conducting employment references.
  • Removing Tax File Numbers from documentation.
  • Instructing PSD to order valuations
  • Booking face to face appointments.
  • Sending communications on behalf of Sales Consultants regarding outstanding documentation, conditions, and confirmation of appointments via customers’ preferred method (e.g. SMS, email or phone).
  • Preparing loan files through to various stages including finalising for handover to Credit Team or PSD.
  • Assisting Lending Consultants in contacting leads in the Lending task buckets.
  • Contacting members following reviews of Line of Credit and Equity Line of Credit loans to advise actions required.
  • Any other administrative tasks as directed by Senior Supervisor Sales (Lending Team)
  • Maintain NCCP hours and take responsibility for personal development, supported by Senior Supervisor’s coaching and training.

The successful candidate will demonstrate

  • a competency with all microsoft office packages
  • Relevant knowledge of financial services industry
  • Good knowledge of personal and mortgage lending
  • Knowledge of consumer credit and general insurance
  • Knowledge of Origen and Ultracs systems would be desirable
  • A tier 2 FSR would also be desirable
  • The ability to work within a strong team setting
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
