IT Security Project Manager

7 month initial contract

Sydney CBD

$900 - $1000/day + super

An opportunity for a talented Security ICT Project Manager with enterprise security program experience to be the security specialist in large scale technology projects for a government organisation.

You will work closely with several product and operational teams to help deliver innovative solutions that strengthen community trust in digital government and identity. This is an exciting and influential role to help steer the technology and architectural decisions within a thriving government agency.

Required experience:

- Demonstrated experience in enterprise security programs and as a security specialist project manager in large scale technology projects

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with, influence, build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Experience in enterprise security risk management

- Demonstrated experience with enterprise security tools and methodologies, cloud technologies, DevOps practices and Agile product teams

- Strong customer service and support focus

- Strong technical aptitude with the ability and willingness to understand new technologies, systems and infrastructure

Responsibilities:

- Driving security improvements in a cross-organisational hybrid technology environment

- Communicating cyber security risk to senior leaders and technical teams

- Managing stakeholder requirements and expectations around the delivery of security in products with competing priorities

- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the many internal and external parties that are involved in the delivery and support of products

- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

- Ensure resource availability and allocation

- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

- Report and escalate to management as needed

- Perform risk management to minimize project risks

- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
