Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A

A nationally recognised organisation is looking for a technically strong and commercially astute Senior Financial Analyst to work in a vibrant and fast moving division. The role requires you to work closely with the Head of Finance to facilitate analysis and reporting along with investor relations.

As a Senior Finance Analyst you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Finance in providing analytical support to senior management, group consolidated forecasts across the business units along with management reports for the Board & Executive Team.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the responsibilities will include:

  • Management reporting; manage the monthly cash flow and balance sheet analysis across the group
  • Prepare month end management reports for the Board
  • Undertake financial analysis in support of investor relations
  • Financial modelling for commercial projects
  • Performing analysis of the business units and providing financial insight to senior executives
  • Quarterly reforecasting & 5 year planning
  • Cash flow modelling and assisting with the design and implementation of a new cash flow model.
  • Analysis and commentary of business performance
  • Planning, budgeting and forecasting

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in renewable energy, oil or gas industries
  • Strong analytical and/or conceptual skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within FP&A or accounting – ideally having commenced in Big 4 accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point and financial modelling (VBA and Macros knowledge will be preferred)
  • Exposure to and experience using BI Tools
  • Ideally at least 3-5 years experience working in an analyst role
  • CA/CPA Qualified
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in high performing teams
  • A positive and proactive person who will add to the energetic and supportive culture already existing within the business
