job description

A leading technology business is looking for an experienced Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join their established and growing infrastructure team.

This is a 6-month contract, starting ASAP and based in Melbourne CBD.

Required experience/attributes:

  • Skilled in VMWare/vCentre to maintain the VM platform
  • Skilled in Microsoft Administration (ADDC, Wintel etc)
  • Have an operational mindset to enable participation in the on-call roster
  • Experience on systems such as Science Logic, OpsGenie, Freshdesk is a plus
  • Understanding of Ansible (if not experience)

Day to day:

  • Support the data centre
  • Performs system monitoring using approved tools and processes to validate system health
  • Manages user system access to meet security requirements
  • Assist project teams where necessary and support ongoing day-to-day BA
  • Provide 3rd level support and understanding and clarification of customer requirements
