Randstad is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to play a lucrative role in upholding and handling network infrastructure. You will also provide high quality technical solutions and resolution to technical problems.

Key accountabilities:

  • Design and deploy functional networks infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
  • Configure and install routers, firewalls and other network devices.
  • Monitor network performance and integrity.
  • Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Create, oversee and test security measures.
  • Troubleshooting and L2/L3 support for core MPLS data network, ISP network + interconnectivity issues.
  • Implement network solution based on Telstra Managed Services which includes TID, CIP, TIPT, MIG, IPVAS, Cloud Gateway and other security solutions.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade Cisco ASA (ASA 5500 Series), Meraki MX Firewall (MX84, MX 250), Juniper SRX (SRX 220, SRX 550) and Sophos XG firewalls for managed clients.
  • Define cloud network architecture using Azure virtual network/AWS VPC, VPN and express route/direct connect to establish connectivity between on premise and cloud.
  • Take active part in the new solution design and development process, review and approve Solution Architecture Document, HLD and LLD.
  • Creating and updating network operations documents.
  • Participate in internal and customer meetings assisting with the ongoing evolution of technology offerings.
  • Assist in the oversight, mentoring, and training of Level 1 and Level 2 technical staff.
  • Maintain complete technical documentation.
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability.

Essential requirements:

  • Certifications: Cisco, Sophos, PaloAlto or experience. Any security certs would be desirable.
  • Experience working with firewalls, routing, switching, BGP, QoS, VPN, MPLS and SDWAN.
  • Exposure to and experience with network security and network design.
  • Experience working with Azure cloud networking.
  • Ability to troubleshoot MPLS networks and LAN issues.
  • Experience with WIFI network design, deployment, management and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Voice/ PBX/ PABX/Telephony.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time along with escalated BAU tickets.
