Your new company

A large State Government Organisation seek a Senior Project Officer to join their infrastructure planning team. The role will support the delivery of complex projects across multi-disciplinary teams.

Your new position
As Senior Project Officer you will be required to provide information and manage actions in response to detailed enquiries relating to passenger transport infrastructure. This will include utilising internal systems and coordinating input from a range of technical experts across TMR, local governments, service providers and other delivery partners, and developing detailed responses in easy to understand terms.

You Will:

  • interpret complex information about passenger transport infrastructure and develop clear, easy to understand responses to enquiries in short timeframes
  • work within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure assigned activities are delivered within the required timeframes/budget expectations
  • develop project related input to briefs and media releases for both internal and external audiences regarding passenger transport infrastructure
  • ensure communication materials are consistent with TransLink, Queensland and national transport infrastructure standards and guidelines
  • assist in managing internal correspondence systems
  • review monthly finance and project progress reports and liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate and completed on time
  • any ad-hoc activities as directed by the Manager (Infrastructure Planning).

Your Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role you would have skills & experience in the following to be a successful Senior Project Officer:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting the delivery of large scale projects particularly in the transport sector, from planning, implementation and closure.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multi-disciplinary project teams to drive and deliver the required outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and managing project risks and issues; and experience in developing and managing project schedules.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships in complex and dynamic project environment.

Your new hourly rate & contact period

The successful candidate will be offer an attractive hourly rate between $67-$72 + super per hour and be offered a contract through to December 2019

It is highly desirable that candidate have direct experience working with infrastructure projects
