Randstad is on the lookout for a Project Support Officer to contribute to the management, coordination and delivery of operational policy and improvement projects within the client’s Regulatory Services portfolio.

Responsibilities include;

  • Contribute to a variety of aspects of project development and implementation across a portfolio of complex projects, including input into business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line with the Agency project management methodology
  • Undertake engagement activities during the development, implementation, and review of projects to ensure understanding and effective implementation of policy initiative into business operations.
  • Undertake the necessary research and consultation to define and agree project outcomes; coordinate data collection for both pre-implementation baseline information and ongoing program evaluation to 1 support successful program delivery.
  • Manage transitions from strategy development to established internal policy, programs, communication campaigns, operational systems and processes to ensure project implementation achieves defined outcomes
  • Ensure successful project handover with clear accountabilities for operational business areas within the Division.
  • Contribute to program outcomes by cultivating effective partnerships with key stakeholders, working collaboratively in a multi-functional team environment and by managing a complex and diverse external stakeholder management program including interstate jurisdictions and industry.

To succeed in this role you have;

  • Demonstrated project support experience, including working as of part multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects within tight timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply current project management methodologies to support project planning and scheduling of project activities.
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and high level of accuracy to present information in a logical and coherent manner
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritising skills with proven ability to manage priorities and complete concurrent tasks and projects to a high standard within strict deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in behavioural or social science, public policy, or a relevant technical area.
  • Extensive experience in project managing complex or sensitive community projects, including the high level ability to set clear goals and implement systems to ensure projects meet agreed objectives.
  • Demonstrated achievement in managing the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and programs at the NSW or national levels.
