Reporting to the Site Construction Superintendent you will be temporarily assigned to a Major Project
working closely with a Project Manager to provide Site Management for a leading Energy Company. You will be the
senior client representative on site.


The main purpose of the role is managing Occupational Health, Safety, environmental and quality, work
schedules and local engagement of resources on the construction site. Typical construction works
under your control will include earthworks, concrete, storm water, earthing, underground conduits,
structural steel, transportable building erection, mechanical installation, piping installation, electrical and
control equipment installation. Works will include Electrical Supervisors to assist for the supervision of
electrical components.


You will be responsible for achieving on site project objectives for safety, environment, communication,
quality, costs and time. A professional and accountable approach is required at all times.
The key measurement of success will be the ability to demonstrate leadership and accountability for the
Construction Site under your management ensuring that project objectives are met in terms of quality,
timeliness, and budget, and value for money is maximised and cost savings are generated.

Major Responsibilities / Duties


Promote Incident and Injury Free (IIF) at every opportunity and be a leader for IIF for the client
Safety onsite of visitors, contractors and employees, including but not limited to managing and
implementing the site Inductions, Safety, Environment and Quality plans.
Coordination with the client representative onsite to ensure the clients operations are not affected by
Client works.
Carrying out site audits against the site Safety, Quality and Environmental management plans.
Engagement of suppliers and sub-contractors in line with Client policies policies and procedures.
Assist in the preparation and review of safe work method statements and JSEA’s for the organisations
work activities.
Oversee all works on site, whether that is by direct employees or contractors.

Carrying out incident investigations, completing incident reports and ensuring that they are completed
and corrective actions are implemented in accordance with Client policy and procedures.
Planning and organising different working activities on site to ensure suitable segregation of works.
Preparation, issuing and monitoring of all work permits on site.
Monitoring site conditions including weather, physical conditions, work flow, work allocation, heat and
UV issues that may affect personnel on site.
Managing fatigue as per the Client policy and procedures.
Ensuring the safety of any visitors on site.
Ensure the plant is constructed in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
Assist where necessary to ensure all the quality documentation is completed in accordance with the
contract requirements.
Completion of Daily diary reports and photo log via the “Volt”. Safety statistics and reports to be
submitted accordingly.
All site expenditure to be managed in line with Client Limits of Authority procedure.
Carry out Safe Act Observations on construction as detailed in the clients procedure.
Verify that personnel working onsite are appropriately trained to undertake the tasks as per the clients procedure.
Fulfil the role of Operator and Site Safety Manager as required by the Petroleum and Gas Act 2004.
Execute responsibilities in a safe and non-discriminatory manner as defined by the client,
Policies and Plans, consistent with the Duty of Care under the OHS&W Act, while promoting and
adhering to the company's Quality Policy Statement and Quality Assurance procedures.
Understand and continually demonstrate compliance with the companies compliance rules and Group
policies as determined from time to time.
Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Trade qualification or equivalent with sup[advisory experience
  • Has a proven track record in managing people and projects in an industrial environment to achieve
  • objectives in quality, time, safety, environment management and cost
  • Computer literate, experience and capabilities to use windows based programmes:-
  • Word (Essential)
  • Excel (Essential)
  • Experience in a similar role would be highly regarded
  • Effective evaluation, analytical and communication skills
  • Construction white card
  • Drivers licence
  • Ability to work under pressure.
