About the role for a Site Supervisor

Being a national company and with a great start to the year, this company has just endeavoured in winning some big projects. Wit such a strong pipeline and influx of work, this company is on the look out for outstanding site manager to join their team. The Site Manager shall supervise the Leading Hands and Tradesmen as reflected in the project organisation Chart. This company have repeat business and this is due to the right work ethic from their staff and how they deliver on their projects. If you have a “can do” attitude and e part of a close knit supportive team this is the role for you. The Site Manager’s authorities and responsibilities shall be as specified in procedures and shall include, but not be limited to the following:

Main Duties

  • Diligent upkeep on the site diary
  • Induction and site familiarity with new employees and subcontractors
  • Subcontractor management
  • Quality assurance of subcontractor work
  • Ensuring all site staff are adhering to best practice and SWMS
  • General site upkeep including opening and closing site
  • Reporting and escalating site based issues and progress reports to senior management
  • Reading drawings
  • Dealing with people in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Problem solving
  • File records and documents in accordance with the project filing system.
  • Record non-conformances and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Use only current drawings and documents. All superseded drawings kept are to be marked as superseded.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Trade qualified
  • Demonstrable experience of educational projects up to $10million
  • Strong man-management skills in order to coordinate multiple services
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Provide technical knowledge and support
  • Strong people management skills and demonstrated ability to lead
  • In depth knowledge with WHSEQ
  • Positive attitude
