The Client

Our Client is a global medical products and technologies company, offering products and services in the areas of wound and skin care; ostomy care; continence and critical care; and infusion devices.

The Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director - Asia Pacific. This is a business critical role which would require 10% travel within the APAC region.

The Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing Supply Chain operations that primarily affect Australia and New Zealand Markets
  • Provides strategic direction to supply chain operations, but no limited to distribution, and customer service operations. Partners with sales and marketing leadership to design and implement supply chain initiatives and ensures that manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution operations drive commercial value
  • Utilizes technical and professional background to enhance business performance of the manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution operations functions within Australia and New Zealand. Actively leverages work experience and best practice knowledge to define opportunities, sell ideas, and execute
  • Primary Supply Chain operation contact for the market
  • Actively develop the relationship with Local Markets Commercial team to build market knowledge and collaborate with local demand planner
  • Accountable for the continuously improving the performance of the supply chain operation, predominantly in the area of Distribution and Customer Service
  • Collaborate with APAC demand planners team as well as local demand planner team for Finished Goods Inventory within the Australia and New Zealand Distribution Centre- challenge the markets on their Inventory Obsolescence (Expired, Damage, Short-Dated & Slow-Moving)
  • When occurring/escalated, resolve change order requests, manage allocation or stock build processes, perform stock-out analysis / drive corrective actions
  • Accountable for managing the prompt resolution of the markets Backorders/ Potential Backorders
  • Actively manage the product portfolio and coordinate New Product launches & End of Life activities
  • Own, monitor and publish performance metrics & reports (Market Dashboard, Status reports etc.)
  • Responsible for the best practice knowledge sharing across Customer Service and Operations
  • Interacts with Markets on Tender processes to ensure products in bids can be supplied

The Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in Supply Chain
  • Good analytical skills together with Business acumen
  • Customer oriented with a pro-active attitude
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts, Lean Supply Chain, MRP principles, and the processes of inventory management and customer order fulfillment
  • Good communication and collaboration skills. Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels
  • Strong strategic/tactical capabilities
  • Works independently on complex issues
  • Serves as subject matter expert within functional area
  • Supply chain management knowledge
