Working within a large and well known manufacturer and distributor located in Guildford, this role will be responsible for performance reporting and service results for the Global Supply Chain operation in Australia. This will include the delivery of appropriate levels of inventory to closely support the business as well as meeting and monitoring KPI metrics.

The role is also responsible for Finished Goods Supply Planning, long range inventory material forecasting and actively participating in product reviews. Therefore, we are seeking extensive experience in run-in run-out product transitions, proactive management of product supply constraints and solid data analysis skills.

The role works across two manufacturing facilities and warehouse locations. Additional activities are to provide support and advice in process improvement and documentation as well as data collation across a number of systems to key stakeholders ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data.

Accountabilities of the role include:

  • Responsible for analysis of current stock position and provide recommendations on improving service levels and stock holdings
  • Supports key business initiative, including supply projects as required
  • Accountable for the stock position of raw materials and finished goods across Australia
  • Responsible for analysing performance in key inventory metrics
  • Responsible for monitoring performance, identifying underlining trends and ensuring that Inventory and Supply KPIs are met
  • Meeting financial targets

The role requires experience in Supply Planning as well as inventory optimisation to satisfy service within known constraints. It needs to continually analyse sourcing decisions to ensure that the operations performs efficiently

This role will work across a complex supply chain, working closely with plants and regional planning teams. The role will need to provide reporting of service and provide a high level of customer service on a weekly and monthly basis to the Supply Planning Manager.

Essential Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Min 3 years Supply Planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in successful product transitions, including detailed run-in run-out planning
  • Experience in Demand Planning
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Skillful application in vendor management and negotiation
  • Experience in Purchase Order management
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Proactive mind-set
  • Demonstrated capability in problem solving techniques
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others
  • Ability to think laterally and develop new concepts
