Teacher, Early Childhood, Pre-School | Katoomba

As a pre – school teacher you will be

  • Empowering children for lifelong learning and a successful transition into Kindergarten
  • Implementing the School Readiness Program through the centres unique curriculum.
  • The aim of the curriculum is to preserve the uniqueness of each child and provide opportunities for their growth.
  • Specialised School Readiness Programme based on the factors – Me, Knowledge, Whiz programme, Talent program and Earth program.

The Centre

  • The centre has places for 150 children and is a really great place to work and there is a strong, solid team in place.
  • Outstanding learning environment for children is vital in this role. The centres programming is based around the Early Years Learning Framework inclusive of relevant equipment and resources.
  • Philosophy: Acknowledge each child as a capable learner and support children’s sense of well being, providing them with confidence to interact with adults.

The Role:

  • The successful candidate will join this amazing team the pre-school room
  • Continue the self-guided curriculum based on the interests of the children through project based learning
  • You will possess the necessary skills to continue the outstanding early education programme and to work well amongst the existing team.

Requirements

  • Extensive childcare experience
  • Strong communication and management skills
  • Great knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Nominated Supervisor Certificate
  • Bachelors Degreee in Early Childhood
  • Current Working with children check
