This leading financial institution currently has a few opportunities for an experienced credit analyst to join their mortgage division and lead a team of 8 people, based in the Sydney CBD. This bank has a reputation for excellence and is well known for developing strong careers in Australia and around the world.

These exciting new positions have become available due to organic growth and they are ideally looking for proactive individuals who have strong leadership and coaching skills.

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Operational Management to key performance measures including financial, client service, service quality, credit risk, staff engagement and process improvement
• Application of Lending Policy balancing growth and risk
• Management of Credit Quality aligned with the policy.
• Effective management of all stakeholders (both Internal and External)
• Process improvement to enable measurable productivity improvements

The desired candidate will have strong traits in the following areas:

• Current or previous Delegated Credit Limit (DLA) of at least $750k
• Proven staff management and leadership experience within professional services
• Strong analytical problem solving skills and a strong commercial mindset
• Exposure to complex credit scenarios such as Trust, Business, and Foreign Income applications
• Ability to make credit decision based on available information
• Professional oral and written communication skills
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• Able to negotiate/communicate effectively and manage business pressures and client expectations
• Determination to achieve high performance and a wiliness to exceed objectives
• Working knowledge of standard mortgages processes
• Proven ability to adapt and be flexible on a case by case assessment
