My Client is a rapidly expanding branch of a large Government Agency and currently has an immediate requirement for a Technical Business Analyst to join of Sydney's premier programs of work. The role is responsible for the analysis of technical solutions and data and also to synthesize information for business stakeholders into presentations, reports and options papers. The Business Analyst will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and development teams to improve functionality of a complex solution consisting of 25 sub systems.

In addition to the above will be accountable for supporting ICT Architecture and Design teams and have input into test plans and test cases, as well as;

  • Mapping processes
  • Producing documentation
  • Defining procedures
  • Conducting feasibility assessments
  • Managing organisational readiness and acceptance of the proposed solutions

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary technical or business qualification
  • Prince2/PMBOK/AIPM Accreditation (preferred)
  • 5 + years working in technical environments that require close working relationship with business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting analysis of business needs in business change and transformation programs.
  • Experience of working in a banking, transport or ticketing environment (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience working in large complex technical / integration environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding and contemporary business analysis best-practice methodologies and processes such as Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) and experience in the application thereof.
  • Experience/Accreditation in Agile Methodologies
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Extensive demonstrated experience interpreting and translating analysis results into insightful, clear and succinct business specifications and requirement documentation.
  • Exposure to large programs of work with complex architectures and integration.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Experience with Process design, development and improvement.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills especially Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.

The successful incumbent will have excellent time management and communication skills, a pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously. A strong team playing approach and the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships is essential as is the ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
