Reporting to the National Project Manager – HFC, this role is responsible for the management of the NBN/Telstra HFC Project Management office in QLD, including ownership of project plans, programs, visual management, reporting and budgets. This role will be accountable for ensuring that the project is delivered on time, budget and to the required quality, all in accordance with the clients policies, procedures and values. Implementing improvement initiatives to deliver the projects objectives of zero harm, excellence in performance, and innovation and cost optimisation will also be a key responsibility.

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Project Management. Post graduate qualifications preferred.
  • Demonstrable and successful project/operations management experience / capability in a similar environment with at least 10 years' experience gained at this level.
  • Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders /clients, peers and colleagues.
  • Proven project management experience and project discipline to deliver project outcomes reliably.
  • Sound technical understanding of this style of Telecommunications markets and forms of contract.
  • Preparation of contract financial summaries, commercial reporting and monthly reports.
  • Ability to manage contract performance and implement effective mitigation strategies to prevent unforeseen margin adjustments.

You will need at least 10 – 15 years working in senior operational roles, you will also need some industry experience gained in the Telecommunication sector. Having specific experience working on NBN related projects would be good too. Having specific HFC (hybrid fibre coaxial) project experience isn’t required.

The salary on offer will be dependent on skills / experience, however our offer will be competitive.
