job description

I am currently working on a role of a Test Analyst to start ASAP on a 7 Months contract. Located in Port Macquarie, New South Wales 2444.

they are rolling out a new degital Platform and they would like a strong Test Analyst who will work with a team of SME, Technical, Business Analysts and business resources to deliver testing outcomes. The Test Analyst will work co-located and within the new Platform team and report to the ICT, TMS BAU Test Manager.

Responsibilities:


•Follow an AgileCI/CD test approach and attend daily Stand Up meetings
•Test Estimates – preparation of test effort estimates based on analysis of the test
requirements as required by the Project Test Manager
•Test Plans - preparation of test plans or a given test phase, System Testing, System
Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing and Production
Verification Testing, based on the available project documentation (user stories/use
cases/wireframes, interface contracts, business and technical requirements etc.)
•Test Data – identification and sourcing of the required test data for a given set of test
cases
•Test Execution functional testing on the new Platform of enhancements and bug-fixes
•Perform regression testing for upgrades of the new platform
•Run automated tests as required from the Test Automation Framework
•Use Atlassian JIRA for Kanban board, user story testing and for raising bugs
•Assist and support UAT staff performing UAT when required
•Perform reporting of testing progress on a weekly basis to management
•Defects – raising defects during test execution and following them through to closure

KEY CHALLENGES

  • Working in a fast-paced complex technical environment undergoing significant change across people, process and technology where ambiguity is a given
  • Reaching consensus between key stakeholders while managing prioritization of testing activities and also the risk and mitigation steps to be applied during the transition process
  • Development and maintenance of currency of understanding of the OneTAFE organization’s range of applications and impact of new development
  • Be comfortable in working with traditional and agile testing environments.
