Randstad is currently recruiting for a highly motivated individual to join their team as Transport Allocator, based at Abbotsford in Victoria. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you’ll be responsible for load planning, scheduling and maximising equipment utilisation both intrastate and interstate, whilst successfully managing the expectations of the business and our customers.

The main duties of this position are as follows, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work with the customer service and warehouse teams to ensure all deliveries are optimised
  • Develop processes with despatch and receiving facilities to maintain a high level of on-time performance
  • Effectively coordinate all day-to-day scheduling of company fleet and subcontractor fleet
  • Liaise with drivers and supervisors to ensure schedules and delivery timetables are met
  • Ensure daily time sheets and run sheets are completed correctly
  • Ensure site operations complete all scheduled deliveries, including all product/order returns and re-deliveries
  • Champion and support the sites values and safety standards within the operation and with customers
  • Ensure full compliance with our Chain of Responsibility (COR) obligations at all times

In order to be successful we are seeking the following:

  • Must be able to work day shift (4:30am - 12:30pm OR 5am - 1pm)
  • Experience in a transport scheduling/coordination role
  • Experience in keg handling and route deliveries is essential
  • Detailed knowledge of load configurations, weights and truck trailer type allocation
  • Excellent understanding of general freight operations including load restraint expertise
  • Working knowledge of relevant Australian transport rules and regulations
  • Experience with Retail Code of Conduct (RCOC)
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • High level of skill in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
