This State Government Department is looking to appoint a WHS Officer on a initial 1 year contract.

Based in the City, the WHS Officer will be responsible for the formation of policy advice and technical support services to the compliance and safety until, to enable the successful delivery of all compliance and safety programmes. Support the manager of environment and compliance in the delivery of advice and technical expertise. Coordinate inspections and investigations in relation to regulatory compliance of departmental facilities and properties and make recommendations as necessary.

You will provide advice and input into the development of project scope, design, documentation of compliance projects as necessary. Assist in the timely updating of critical compliance and safety related data within the departments Asset Management System (AMS). Analyse data from the AMS and prepare compliance and safety advice and reports as required. Develop policies and procedures as they relate to regulatory requirements and provide advice.

To be successful you will hold a valid NSW drivers license, have a tertiary qualification in WHS or equivalent and have previous experience.
