Monsanto is seeking a motivated Management Assistant based in Brussels, supporting the Corporate Engagement and Regulatory Affairs leadership in Brussels and Morges. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is willing to take initiative and is flexible and comfortable with changes in work assignments. Shows ability to exercise independent decision-making, conveys a positive, professional and accommodating attitude. Anticipates needs and proactively resolves calendar conflicts as they arise


Key Responsibilities: - Receive and screen phone calls, communicating effectively with both internal and external callers; take messages, answer inquiries or refer calls as appropriate keep the executive informed of the identity and nature of the calls handled - Manage proactively very complex (Outlook) calendars and ensure materials are available for meetings, prioritize and take initiative to resolve conflicts and reschedule appointments when necessary - Coordinate international travel arrangements, expense reports and visas, prepare complex travel itineraries - Prepare purchase orders and process invoices - Draft correspondence, presentations, other oral and written communications, set up and maintain files, provide managers with office supplies, prepare and sort mail, perform typing assignments, proofread, and research and compile special reports, understanding and adherence to company policies and guidelines - Provide proactively administrative support to relieve the managers of administrative details - Manage and review filing and office systems. Required Skills/Experience: - Experience as a personal or administrative assistant within an international environment, during which the person had the opportunity to manage tasks independently - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook - Good communication skills in English both written and spoken, French and Dutch are nice to have - High Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality - Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize workload - Experience with international travel arrangements - Must be flexible and comfortable with last-minute changes in schedules and workloads - Must be very proactive, detail-oriented and results oriented with excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skills
