job description

- The junior support engineer receives requests of users to solve incidents, make service requests on the user side (PC, printers, cabling) or on the system side (change settings on servers,...). - The junior support engineer does also alternative tasks like writing technical documentation, user guides,... and can sometimes participate in development or infrastructure projects. The possible working hours vary from 08:00 until 20:00 Monday - Saturday, but could be extended in the future.


The candidate we are looking for must have : - a good knowledge of Dutch and English. - an IT support background: able to install / configure PC. - a working knowledge of the following tools: Windows, MS Office, Active Directory. - a basic knowledge of MS SQL, Visual Studio (ASP.NET). - a good understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network components (router, firewall, VLAN,...). - a generic understanding of a virtual server infrastructure under VMware. - a perfect understanding and respect of IT ethics and integrity ("with great power comes great responsibility"). The ideal candidate can have the following plus : - Being fluent in Dutch and English (a good knowledge of French is an extra plus). - Knowledge of the existing missions (and tools) of base1 activities. - Understanding code of applications in Visual Studio (ASP.NET), Xamarin, Angular, JAVA or any structured language. - Experience with MS SQL administration. - Experience in working with AVAYA telephony (Avaya One-X agent, CMS supervisor), or Asterisk telefony. - Basic knowledge of Linux.
