The Associate Scientist will join the Oncology Discovery Therapeutic Area group with the efforts in the characterization and development of biologics and small molecules including those that function as immune modulators for the treatment of cancer. The candidate will be expected to develop, run and schedule in vitro/cellular experiments for the validation and characterization of targets or therapeutic agents in the areas of oncology and tumor immunology in line with project requirements. Ability to perform proper tissue culture is a must. Cellular and molecular biology techniques may include: microscopy, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, ELISA, RT-PCR, Luminex, transfections, transductions, RNAi and CRISPR/Cas9, RTQ-PCR, western blotting, immunoprecipitation etc. Interpret, troubleshoot and report on complex data. Analyse and present data in a clear presentation ready format. Demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication. Manage multiple experiments simultaneously. As part of a multidisciplinary project team, contribute to various projects outside of his/her own, and keep up-to-date in the literature related to his/her field. English is the main language for communication and documentation.


Minimal requirement in scientific and technical skills: - experience in cell culturing - familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques - good knowledge of Dutch and English Candidates should preferentially have at least 1-2 years of working experience in the laboratory. Temporary job for one year.
