The purpose of this role is to performs day to day operational duties within the law of the country and with a view to maintain the company's profitability and client portfolio. This involves organising transport and monitoring shipment from reception of order until final delivery, ensuring that each steps are attended to timeously and maintaining correct communication with client, agents, GEFCO offices, carriers and any other service providers at all time in order to guarantee excellence of service to customer. The job holder is required to comply with GEFCO Management System and Operational standards, processes and procedures. Customer Service: - Works towards a 0% error margin on day to day operational duties - Proactively monitors and manages customers queries and complaints within assigned scope, escalating issues where necessary - Keeps customer informed regularly throughout the process, sharing relevant information in order to maintain excellence of customer service - Detects potential risks, delays and difficulties associated with a task and immediately reports detected issues and suggestions to Line Manager Air Freight/Sea Freight Operations: - Receives order from client and acknowledges receipt of order, confirming Purchase Order number and checking that information received are complete and clear for proceeding


Skills & Competencies - Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in Dutch and English; - Strong customer focus with proven ability to develop and maintain solid and respectful relationships with customers; - Excellent administration skills, with a disciplined approach to time management and prioritizing; - Proven ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines - Good interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives - An energetic, "can do" approach; demonstrating high degree of integrity and honesty Profile - Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Freight Forwarding Industry - Strong knowledge of Imports & Exports procedures for both Air freight and Sea freight - Good knowledge of Customs clearing, duties and VAT procedures - Previous experience of working within a multi-national organization is beneficial but not essential - Excellent command of Cargowise or similar Operational system We offer: - a long term mission - a competitive salary package Interested?
