EICA Design Engineer - WaterWork type: Full timeLocation: ManchesterAn opportunity has arisen for an EICA Design Engineer based in Manchester. You will be responsible for the production and coordination of outline and detailed design deliverables, together with ensuring that EICA designs are deployed effectively, economically and in accordance with all appropriate regulations and specifications. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of electrical design, including:Management of project deliverablesCarrying out design in accordance with QA ProceduresResponsible for the detailed design in accordance with TEL ProceduresInterpreting and understanding client requirements from client documents (drawings, specifications, correspondence, etc.)Production of procurement specifications for electrical equipment and production of detailed design construction drawingsProject managing third party designs and providing design assistance to installation and commissioning teamsReview of vendors controls system Functional design Specifications for compliance with our requirementsReview of vendor data and drawings for all electrical equipment and package plant, motor control centres, power distribution panels and field equipment panelsProduction of electrical scope and works enquiry submission documentsEstimation of material and labour costsUndertake design risk assessments to support detailed design proposalsRecord and document all design changes through to completion and issue of 'As Built' documentsLiaise with clients and subcontractorsQualifications/background:An appropriate electrical qualification or by experienceExperience in EICA design in water / process industryKnowledge of industrial electrical distribution systems including 11kV17th Technical report writing skillsEdition IEE Wiring Regulations qualificationPackage includes A competitive salary24 days holiday (increasing with service) + bank holidaysThe opportunity to buy further holidaysFree onsite parkingChristmas shutdownPension Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
