Do you have previous experience handling accounting activities in a bank? Are you looking for an opportunity to further develop your accounting skills in a globally recognized financial services institution? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you!

We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant to support our client's (a leading insurance and financial services institution) downtown Toronto office. In this role you will work full time hours from Monday - Friday on a 2 month assignment, and earn a competitive rate of up to $29 per hour.

As a Junior Accountant your main responsibilities will be to provide bank reconciliation and general accounting support, including the preparation of monthly General Ledger maintenance, as well as supporting other special accounting projects as required.

Qualifications
• 2+ years of previous experience as an Accountant
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent PC/MS Office Suite skills required
• Must have strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated success in prioritizing, working independently and meeting strict deadlines
