Are you a recent accounting or finance graduate looking for an opportunity to develop your skills in a corporate environment? Do you 1 - 2 years of experience handling accounting related activities, and a strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable activities?

If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you! We are currently looking for an Accounting Clerk to support our client, one of Canada's big 5 banks, in their North York office. In this role you will work full time hours on a 6 month assignment, earn $18 per hour, and be responsible for providing accounts receivable and payable support for the team. This will include but not be limited to:

• Performing entries to balance the general ledger
• Collecting fees from client accounts
• Remitting funds to 3rd party partners
• Reviewing and verifying legal documentation
• Additional ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications
• 1+ years of experience in an accounting environment preferred, though new accounting graduate will be considered
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, including general ledger activities
• Strong MS Office skills, specifically in MS Excel
• Attention to details and strong mutlitasking skills
• Strong logic, analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment
• Proven fast and accurate alpha-numeric data entry skills
