Are you an accounting professional with a focus in Accounts Payable? Have you previously been responsible for handling the AP process for a large organization? Are you looking for an opportunity to further develop your skills in the accounting field? If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you!

We are currently looking for an Accounts Payables Analyst to support our client, a leading Insurance Firm, in their Markham office. In this role you will work full time hours on a 4 month assignment, and earn a competitive rate of up to $30 per hour. As an AP Analyst you will be responsible for performs transaction level accounting tasks within the accounting payable function such as month end close, and day to day payable operations. This will include but not be limited to the following:

• Process Accounts Payable duties, enter payable invoice in Oracle
• Maintain and update vendor listing
• Cross checking proper authorization on payment invoice
• Assist AP team in document filing

• Gain experience working for a globally recognized Insurance firm
• Work full time hours on a 4 month assignment
• Earn a competitive rate of up to $30 per hour
• Markham ON Location

• Transaction and operation knowledge of A/P, payments and reconciliation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to effectively communicate with managers and peers on business issue and solution
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability and passion to improve processes while simultaneously delivering under tight timelines
• Basic understanding of the various aspects of Accounting operations and the associated operational and accounting dynamics
• Initiative to explore new ideas and the ability to motivate others to accept progress and change
• Experience with Oracle is an asset
