Randstad Staffing, Canada's #1 Integrated staffing firm is actively recruiting for an experienced Administrative Assistant to work with one of our clients in Halifax NS. This position is estimate to begin in two weeks! It will be full time and permanent. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer and the Investment Business Analyst, the position provides broad administrative, document control and records management support to the Investment Division. This will include tasks such as scheduling meetings, arranging travel, preparing correspondence and formatting reports and presentations.

Qualifications
• One-year office technology or business administration program with a focus on desktop publishing and/or records management, plus a minimum of Grade 12, plus 4 years related experience. An acceptable combination of education/training and experience may be considered **this is mandatory**

• Proficiency with using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.

• Working experience using Adobe Professional is required; other desktop publishing software would be considered an asset.

• Strong writing and proof-reading skills, including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation for complex documentation and to independently draft letters at a professional skill level.

• Familiarity with investment processes and terminology would be considered an asset.

• Experience following document control and records management procedures and experience working with and managing electronic and hard copy records would be an asset.

• Experience using imaging software and scanning hardware would be an asset.

• Experience making travel arrangements and processing invoices would be an asset.

• Experience working with corporate/trustee boards and committees would be an asset.

• Excellent organization, time management and prioritization skills.

• Must be able to work independently as well as in support of a team environment. Must demonstrate initiative, maintain confidentiality, and be able to work under the pressure of demanding work volumes.

• Must have well developed communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
