Randstad Staffing is seeking an Administration/Accounts Payable Clerk for a company in downtown Winnipeg and in St. James!

The position of the Administration/Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical functions in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

Under the direction and supervision of the Finance Controller the Administration/Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for a wide range of functions by performing duties in a timely, effective and efficient manner.  This includes processing payroll for salaried and hourly staff; processing vendor invoices and related payments; account reconciliations and the preparation of various account reports.

Activities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure invoices, travel requisitions, general expense and visa claims are reviewed, assessed and paid in a timely manner and are documented for proper tracking
- Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding and matching of invoices, receipts and purchase orders
- Data entry of financial documents including invoices, requisitions, claims, credit/debit notes, adjustments, reversals and general ledger reclass entries
- Follow‐up on outstanding advances and cheques
- Maintain an easy access filing system for all hard copy and electronic documents related to vendor invoices, supplier agreements and vendor contracts
- Liaise with staff, respond to internal and external inquires in a pleasant and professional manner
- Adhere to the companies’ policies and procedures
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Assist in the preparation of annual audit as directed
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized accounting program or equivalent working experience
- Excellent computer skills working with MS Office: Excel, Word and Outlook and Sage Accpac
modules: Canadian Payroll, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Bank Services
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and cross‐cultural skills to work in a First Nations environment
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Must be able to work flexible hours and be able to travel upon request
