What you’ll be doing?

Designing, developing, and deploying reporting solutions using Microsoft reporting technologies including SQL Server, Power BI, Excel, SSRS, & SSAS
• Create Operational Dashboards from Hadoop data as well as relational sources
• Gather reporting requirements from business analysts, project managers and end users.
• Ensure that all client-facing reports adhere to the client’s requirements.
• Provide detailed documentation of all requirements, implementations and objective evidence of testing.
• Building compelling, interactive and actionable reporting on top of structured data models
• Analyzing new / disparate data sources to integrate with existing datasets to tell a comprehensive data story
• Supporting the full reporting lifecycle from requirements analysis, through design & development and on into release and support/maintenance phases
• Interface with Project team / client to ensure that all database queries are appropriately optimized for performance.
• Assist in quality assurance testing to establish reports’ validity.

Do you have the right qualifications?
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer related studies
• 4-5 + years experience with SSRS
• 3- Years experience with PowerBI Desktop
• 5 + years experience writing SQL Server queries.
• 2 + years experience with Business Intelligence and /or visualization tools.
• 5 + years experience with Information Technology development.
• Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
• Action-oriented and able to work autonomously.
• Enthusiasm for collaboration and continued learning
• Strong communication skills, able to work in a team environment, and able to interact with business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) approaches in order to propose ideas and recommendations to support the business/decision makers.
• Strong T-SQL query experience
• Advanced Excel expertise (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, Power Pivot, functions, macros, charts, etc.)
• Experience designing and developing solutions with the Microsoft reporting stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
• Knowledge of DAX and Power Query M languages
• Strong QA and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies
• Hands-on experience managing codebases using Visual Studio & TFS
• Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) related technologies is a asset
• Knowledge of Hadoop v2.x, MapReduce, HDFS is a definite asset
• Knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, Impala is a asset
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB is an asset
