Day shift hrly $16.00 to start work for a local company

General Labour

* Working with steel

* Must be able to read measuring tape,

* Cutting material , sanding , polishing, grinding

* Comfortable lifting up to 40lbs

* Welding steel ( metal ) Fabrication



Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Qualifications
Education / Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent in experience
• Prior experience in a production environment (fast paced manufacturing environment
preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Good English communication skills (written and oral)
• Interpersonal skills
• Capable of following oral instructions
• Able to read blueprints, drawings, layouts and other specifications
• Able to work quickly, calmly, while adhering to our high quality and safety standards
• Able to stand, bend or lift for extended periods of time
• Must be able to discern colours and shades
• Able to work shift work
• Must have flexibility to work extra hours, on short notice, in order to meet internal/external
customer requirements (scheduled and nonscheduled overtime shifts, et

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Uses various types of hand tools and fixtures to assemble
2. Maintains a clean work area and adheres to 5S procedures.
3. Completes tear downs and repairs as required.
4. Restocks work areas.
6. Informs Unit Leader/Team Leader of all stock shortages, quality and downtime issues.
7. Follows work instructions as well as QMS procedures.
8. Identifies all nonconforming product by applying nonconforming product tag as required.
9. Scans product where applicable.
10. Uses proper FIFO practices for all product or materials.
11. Wears and uses all required PPE. Ensures that PPE is in good working condition and that
it meets safety standards.
12. Follows company policies and procedures as well as SOPs.
13. Contributes to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
14. Loads, unloads and monitors production equipment.
15. Ensures all parts are correctly tagged or labelled.
16. Assists with equipment changes and machine adjustments as required.
