Our client, a leading Insurance Institution in Canada, is hiring an Assistant Marketing Manager for a one year contract with permanent potential.
The Marketing team is accountable for developing sound marketing strategies to support their growth objectives and distinguish them as the premier service provider in the Group Benefits and Group Retirement industry – managing the strategies from concept, through to detailed execution and launch.

The Assistant Marketing Manager’s mandate is to:
• Contribute to marketing plans and execute tactics to support the marketing strategies
• Collaborate with marketing, product, distribution, disability, communication and design internal partners across the organization to deliver on the development of print and on line marketing collateral

Key Accountabilities

Marketing Support
• Contribute to the planning and implementing of marketing tactics, programs and small projects required to support Manulife’s GBRS business goals.
• Work and coordinate with all the key stake holders on the review of the existing marketing materials and collateral to ensure content is accurate and up to date and continuously aligned to Manulife’s messages and objectives
• Contribute to the project's activities, providing recommendations on marketing and training materials ensuring alignment with the marketing strategy, project timeline and budget.
• Support responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs)
• Support inquiries from internal stakeholders

Operational Effectiveness
• Collaborate across teams and boundaries, utilizing contact to build and strengthen teamwork, performance and efficiencies
• Partner closely with multiple internal key stake holders from Product, Marketing, Branding and Communications and Distribution to launch marketing initiatives to market, and to deliver an integrated and consistent plan sponsor and plan member’s experience.
• Support continuous improvements in processes and functions to increase department’s efficiencies and effectiveness.

Up to $35/hr (depending on experience)

Post- secondary degree or diploma in marketing related field – GBA, RPA and/or CEBS designation an asset
• 2-4 years relevant experience developing and implementing strategic marketing strategies
• Financial services business knowledge – knowledge of Group Benefits and/or Group Retirement Services would be an asset
• Working knowledge of business needs, and insurance industry practices
