Automation Engineer - Big Data


- 3+ years of testing end-to-end Big data application huge volume: data modeling, ETL and reporting etc. and overall
experience of 5+ years of experience.
- Must have at least 3 years of programming and automation experience. Developing automation tools and scripting
languages such as Java, JavaScript/NodeJS, Python, Perl.
- Advanced SQL querying and UNIX shell script writing skills
- Expertise in data warehousing (SQL, ETL, Data Modeling, etc.) and using databases such as MYSQL, Hive etc. in a capital
market environment with complex datasets.
- Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark and other big data framework
- Proven analytical and quantitative ability and passion for high volume data
- Capability to work in a rapidly changing business environment and to enable simplified user access to massive data by
building scalable data solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to effectively lead and influence interactions
- Experience in working in Onsite/Offshore model
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Nexus etc.
- Experience in JIRA / Confluence / HP ALM
- Experience in Sybase IQ /ASE Database.
- Familiar with Capital Market terminology.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Capacity Planning / Forecasting methodologies/techniques
- Experience reviewing artefacts including code reviews (application and test automation scripts)
- Experience working in a scrum/agile development environment
- Knowledge of DevOps operations and test integration into the DevOps process and tools

• The consolidated audit trail project is a regulatory reporting project that requires all order event data from the various trading platforms. The project involves the build of a central repository, and build regulatory rules and reports out of it
