job description

We are seeking an Bill of Materials Coordinator for a well established machinery client of ours in the Vancouver area. This position will begin as a contract role with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.

Responsibilities:

-Receives engineering specifications for a product or piece of a product as a basis for putting together a parts listfor the planning phase to ensure parts are ready when required.

-Describes in detail the characteristics and size of the parts to ensure that those parts will ultimately make up the finished product or piece of the product.

-Forecasts deviations that will effect delivery date.

-Liases with other departments on a frequent basis, on matters related to the specification (input of the work) and the parts list (output).




Qualifications:

-Bill of Materials experience 3-5 yrs

-ERP/MRP - Microsoft Great Plans, Oraclea plus

-Experience in Manufacturing/Steel Fabrication

-Technical Diploma/Certification

-Basic CAD and SolidWorks an asset
