Business Development
Nisku, Alberta

Reports directly to General Manager

Primary Role:

This position is responsible for performing all necessary sales and marketing activities to accomplish strategic performance objectives regarding both business services & product development associated with rotating equipment repair.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates in conjunction with the Shop Foreman & Scheduler regarding the work inflows and outflows of the facility.

Establish and maintain a comprehensive client base; network prospects, conduct outside sales calls and cold calls.

Trade areas include, but not limited to: Edmonton, Nisku, Leduc, Acheson, Fort McMurray and surrounding areas.
Work with customers to build and maintain relationships for machining & repair services, fabrication services, and to develop product solutions.
Submit in a timely manner factual sales call reports providing customer and market information.
Provide technical support to employees, vendors, and customers as required.
Coordinate with the General Manager & President on: pricing, sales strategies and distribution channels for products and manufacturing services in the market.
Provide pricing strategies and quotations for specific products and services to customers.
Oversee delivery of products to client site; ensure accuracy of order and timely delivery.
Conduct market research to determine potential growth opportunities.
Ensure sales, budgets, and gross margin goals are met.

Performance Objectives:
Meet customer expectations.
Create and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
Secure a minimum of $ 200,000 in profitable sales per month.
Meet the operational objectives while complying with the overall corporate goals.
Maintain a safe working environment and promote health and safety awareness.
Identify, investigate and correct unsafe practices.
Meet set deadlines.

Qualifications:
5-10 years marketing/sales experience in related industry.
Technical industrial background considered an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to adjust to various personality traits.
Valid Passport for travel within Canada & US.
Proficient with the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

Physical Demands:
Occasionally lift/carry weights to 50 lbs.
Occasionally push/pull weights to 150 lbs.

Time Commitment Expectations:
Typical day is 8:00am -5:00pm; Monday through Friday.
Earlier (or later) shift times may occur for various reasons on an as needed basis.
Saturday/Sunday shift times may be required for travel and/or trade shows.
After hours on call duties required on an as needed basis.

Dress Code:
Clean and professional clothing is required.
Excellent hygiene is expected.
