Our client, a leader in the education industry, is looking for an experienced Change Management consultant to their team as their temporary part-time employee for 8 days a month for 1 year.

Reporting To: Director, IT Project Management

The job description below depicts the role of the Change Manager in Information Technology Services. The Change Management Consultant will be supporting the Change Manager by providing guidance and support for them to carry out their duties since this resource will be growing into this role

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is focused on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be providing direction to a Humber staff resource on creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.

This role is focused on the helping to drive the strategy for optimal ownership, use and benefit of the delivered solution with the support of a change manager.

The Change Management Consultant leads the development and deployment of the change management plan for IT projects, including the change
management methodology, tools, and templates. These tools and tactics will be used to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees.

They will collaborate with and support the IT Project Leads to meet project deliverables. This role will develop project stakeholder and sponsorship
readiness throughout all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure utilization, adoption, and optimization of the IT
project.

Job duties include the following:
•Provide direction on change management assessments

•Provide direction on actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, stakeholder (resistance) management plan

•Provide direction on people-side strategies and planning for change adoption and timely benefits realization

•Provide direction on integrating change management activities into overall project plan

•Provide direction on how to develop and manage an integrated change portfolio

•Provide direction on how to define and measure success metrics for initiatives and monitor change progress

•Provide direction on how to identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics for the people side of projects.

•Provide direction on how to identify and manage anticipated resistance with stakeholder groups.

•Provide direction on steps and implement tools for managing and motivating people (stakeholders) who are experiencing change

• Support , engage and coach leaders, managers, supervisors to support change initiatives

• Support the change manager for ITS in the development of their change management skills and resources

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within change management, project management, or organizational development. Experience managing change across complex, multi-site multi-stakeholder organizations is required, as well as formal training in change management.

The incumbent will demonstrate solid understanding of CM principles, tools and templates and strong understanding of the principles
of project management, (including Waterfall and Agile/Scrum approaches).
