We are currently looking for Class 1 Delivery Driver representatives to do local restaurant deliveries in BC region for one of North America's largest foodservice distributors. Delivery drivers are a critical part of our success in building relationships with our local customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries.

As a Class 1 Delivery Driver Representative, you are required to:
- Complete pre-trip inspection of truck and safely operate equipment.
- Develop business relationships with clients through daily operations.
- Delivery to local business, no long distance driving necessary.
- Checking off all customer orders at the time of delivery.
- This position is approximately 30% driving and 70% physical labour.
- Physically, Sales Service Representatives are required to be able to lift 20-30 lbs consistently and 60-80lbs periodically with the use of handcart/dolly to move product up and down truck ramps – it’s a paid workout!

Advantages
- $23.09/hr is the base rate for drivers with no class 1 delivery experience
- Truck Drivers earn up to $30.40/hr + semi-annual incentives depending on experience. You will be paid for how hard you work with multiple incentives and an escalating base pay

- The average annual salary for a new driver is $60K-$70K. Drivers can bid on dedicated runs which are distributed based on length of service.

- Truck Drivers have issued uniforms yearly, with annual credits that can be used towards uniforms and/or safety footwear
- Eligibility for tuition reimbursement for courses relevant to the business

Training:
- You will receive three to four weeks of paid training with multiple drivers before taking on a route of your own



Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
- Strong customer service attitude and enjoy interacting with various clients within the food industry
- Able to lift up to 60lbs consistently
- Must handle all types of food products (fresh seafood, beef, pork, produce, nuts, spices, milk, eggs, etc.)
- Anticipate approximately 9-18 daily stops, 5,000 – 8,000 kgs of product, and $30,000 worth of cargo. (Routes can vary in difficulty and pay value)
- 10 hour days- may take longer due to road conditions and experience
- Wide-variety of stops: Restaurants, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Schools, Colleges, Feeding Programs, Country and Fraternal Clubs, Grocery Stores, Vending, and Catering etc.
