Our client, located downtown Toronto, is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join their growing team.
Are you looking for an opportunity to bring your skills into play in moving our data center to the cloud? Work with our team during the cloud infrastructure rollout building our latest-generation global infrastructure and applications.
As part of the Data & Technology team, you will be building the next generation data platform. This new Cloud based platform will focus on quality and security while providing massive data scalability. The role will improve automation, assist in the management of our CI/CD pipeline and ensure the operations processes and standards are maintained in production. The work environment is fast paced and constantly evolving to achieve both our strategic goals and clients’ needs.
Your Experience:
Thorough understanding of cloud computing virtualization technologies, storage architecture & AWS technologies: EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, EBS, EFS, Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, OpsWorks, IAM, Directory Service, Ansible, Python
Experience with DevOps related automation tools to include, but not limited to: GIT, CodeCommit, source management (BitBucket), continuous integration (Bamboo), and application configuration management (Ansible)
Ability to write automation specs, procedures and tools to create fully automated deployments, especially in IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and creating custom CloudFormation templates.
AWS Monitoring tools: Elk, Datadog, etc. Familiar with: CloudTrail, VPC FlowLogs, CloudWatch Logs, Application Logs

2 Years of experience with AWS, certification desired
1 Year of experience with AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies
3 Years of experience with monitoring enterprise systems
3 Years of experience in data center domains (server, network, storage, security)
3 Years of experience with server and directory service technologies (Windows, Linux, AD, DNS)
Excellent organizational skills, and oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business initiatives
Ability to apply critical thinking to all aspects of the position
Detail oriented with excellent documentation skills/methodologies, who is able to successfully manage multiple priorities
