Our client, a leading electronics distribution and services company is seeking a Commercial Collection Specialist in their Markham office. This role is suited for a commercial collection specialist in a B2B setting

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Initiate collection activities with customers including telephone calls, emails, and other communications Maintain, - - - update, monitor and review collection notes in ERP
- Research aging and payment history for resolution and payment
- Work with internal departments to resolve problems preventing payment
- Prioritize workload so that collection efforts result in maximum benefits
- Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned
- Professionally represent the company at all times
- Adhere to all Company policies and work rules

Working hours: 8:30AM - 5:30 PM with1 hour for lunch


Qualifications
- Preferred wholesale construction experience but not essential if a demonstrated history of success in a B2B environment exists
- BA Degree preferred
- 3-5 Years of Commercial Collections experience
- Proven track record of success in prior collection roles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
- Proficient working knowledge of SAP or a major ERP
- Ability to communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) utilizing the English language
- Ability to understand and explain complex billing structures and invoice calculations
- Must be skilled in the organization and management of time, efforts and resources
- Must be reliable and punctual
