Our large enterprise Calgary based client has an immediate requirement for a couple senior Data Analysts who will be responsible for the establishing data governance processes for priority data-sets as well as assisting the business in compliance with data governance processes and decisions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• A university degree or a diploma from a recognized institution, with specialization in Computer Science, Information Management, or Computer Engineering fields.
• Four or more years of directly related work experience.
• Effective interpersonal skills especially in the areas of written and verbal communications and facilitation
• Must be highly motivated, a quick learner, to work independently or on a team and drive solutions with minimal supervision
• Flexible: capable of managing multiple priorities and successfully meeting critical deadlines
• Expert level understanding of relational database concepts, dimensional database concepts, Big Data / NoSQL, and associated database architectures. Enterprise Architecture or Data Architecture certifications equivalent training will be an advantage.
• Extensive experience architecting OLTP/OLAP databases with enterprise modeling and mapping tools like Visual Studio, Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler, Oracle Data Integrator, SQL Server Integration Server etc.
• Experience and familiarity with data analysis/visualization, data modeling, data quality, data access and reporting design software tools is an advantage.
• Experience with GIS technology and the spatial enablement of data asset is an advantage.
• competent SQL skills for multiple platforms.
• Ability to produce formal written deliverables including data models, technical standards and guidelines, investigations and recommendations, presentations and briefings, future state roadmaps, and meta-data catalogs for business and technical use.
