The Client, a major asset management company in the Downtown Core is looking to bring on board a Data Engineer into their corporate office.

Company looking for a candidate with excellent computing, analytical, and communication skills to fill a permanent position in our software development team. The team is responsible for building, maintaining, and providing user support for a software suite of approximately 30 interdependent applications. These applications impact all aspects of the firm’s business including, portfolio management, trading, sales, risk, compliance, and finance.

Candidates are expected to quickly learn the software infrastructure, support users, and modify applications soon after commencing the position. Subsequently candidates will be primary developers on new applications. This requires consultation with end-users and problem solving with minimal supervision. Candidates with limited knowledge of financial products will be required to learn about the relevant instruments.


-Perform statistical analysis, with focus on time series and hypothesis testing.
-Write code (Python, C#, VBA) for back testing and strategy simulation
-Maintain database of market data sourced from various providers (SQL/no-SQL)
-Optionally write user interfaces in .Net
